Lord; You Want Me To Do What?
There is a famous comic who says " You can't fix stupid!" I believe I could be the poster child for that campaign....But see that is only partly true....I can't, you can't fix stupid but Jesus Christ Can!
For such the longest time I just did not get it! I am a couple fries short on my happy meal, so when I got it, I don't/didn't understand why others don't/didn't get it.
Hi My Name Is Bobby And I Am A Sold-Out Believer In Jesus Christ Who Is My LORD And Savior! I Am In Recovery From All Types Of Hurts, Habits And Hang-ups.
My Educations Started with Stupid is as Stupid does 101, I got a 4.0 in that class. Once I was sure I had Aced that class, I decided I would major in Denial 102, I got a lot of time in that class, and I still might crack that book open now and then. I went and before I knew it, I was enrolled classes that taught being powerless, angry and hurt 201. I have an Education also a major in Hard Knocks 301, Knots on My Head 302 which I made Honor Roll. One of my Favorite classes was Numbing 303, in that class I learned how to distanced myself from others and how to mix Liquid and Pharmaceuticals together....also I learned that I carry a Pharmacy in my Brain.
In 1976, I met the Girl of my dreams Kay, and we got married in April of 1980. All the Education I had received did not help me. I did realize many years later that I should film a commercial for Samsonite because of all the baggage I brought into this relationship. If you are counting, it was 31 years in April.
Kay and I live in Snellville Georgia which is 31 miles east of Atlanta. We have 5 Kids, ages 28, 27, 25, 22, 15-
2- girls and 3 Boys, 1 Daughter In Law, 2 Sons In Law, 4 Grand-Daughters, 2 Grand Cats, 3 Grand-pups. We have been living in the same Home since 1986 and attending the same Church since June 1984. So see
there was nothing wrong with me, because I was a Christian right? After all I have been going to Church ALL my life!
Kay has had to put up with a lot, more than any person should have too. She has always stood by my side and supported me, even if it left us broke or broken.
17 years ago, God started calling me into Ministry. I ran! After all who did HE think HE was trying to use someone as hurt and angry as me.....? In July 2000 at the age of 41, I had chest pains while working and had to be taking to the Hospital. After 2 days of laying I.C.U. I learned I had a Massive Heart Attack. On August 2, 2000 I had a triple bypass due to 3 blockages....1- 100%, 1- 98%, 1- 88% and the main vessel that feeds the brain had to replaced too. I did not learn anything!(Kay's and My Testimonies are on our page called "Bobby's Messages and Studies")
There is a lot of stuff between my dash, thats where I left off and Now. Bottom Line is I quit running. I got tired of trying to out run Jesus....see HE is a Track Star.
In 2007, Kay and my hearts began hurting for all the folks out there who were hurting themselves and their families...so felt God telling us it was time. See Romans 8:28 was still in GOD's Word and HE started to show us that Loves HIM.......so we started All About The Cross Ministries!
I love to joke, I believe laughter is good....or GOD! I do have all "Tee Shirts" from all those classes and I also have been blessed with going to Seminary. I have completed and Certified by American Association of Christian Counselors on Addictions (Specializing in Sexual Addictions). I am a Licensed and Ordained Pastor and I am in This Ministry Full Time since Dec. 2009. The Secular world tells me "I have the right to remain silent", but you see when it comes to Jesus Christ....I do not have the ability!
GOD gave me this Heart. But This Heart is FULL of A PASSION for HIS Word and HIS Love. With this Heart can COMPASSION for ALL HIS Children. Jesus Christ did tell us what we as believers, as followers of HIM what we were all called to do, the BIBLE is full of instruction for GOD's Children and yet we still don't get it, Jesus did not tell us what to do, HE Showed us.....HIS Passion for the Father's Work(you and me)HIS compassion for us all......that is why I refer to Mark 1:40-41 so much! Who Heart do you have?
